The History of the Cross: A Lenten Mission Reflection

Please join us in the church on Wednesday and Thursday, March 20^th and 21^st at 7pm for a Lenten reflection led by guest speaker, Father Nicholas Callahan.

The cross is, as Saint Paul said in his first letter to the Corinthians, “a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.” At the same time, as it stands at the Heart of our Faith, it is the root of our hope in Salvation, and gives us the perfect model of charity.

For the close of Lent and the start of Holy Week, Father Nicholas will take us through the history of how the Church imagined and presented the cross in the first millennium of her life.
