Eucharistic Procession

November 24 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Please join the members of the Sacred Heart Nocturnal Adoration Society in a Eucharistic Procession on the feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, November 24th.

As Catholics, we believe that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. As people would walk with him through the roads of Israel, we will gather around him and walk through the roads of our neighborhood, proclaiming the Good News to all. Before his Ascension, Jesus said, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20) Let us go forth and fulfill our commission as disciples, bringing Christ in the Eucharist to the people.

***The procession will begin at 1pm, directly after the 12pm mass. Please use street parking or park in the school yard at 59 Wilson Street to avoid blocking anyone leaving the 12pm mass or being blocked in by those coming for the 2pm mass.

The procession will cover 1/2 mile on paved roads. We will start in the church, travel up the hill to Wilson Street, through East Hartsdale Avenue (four corners), and back down Central Avenue to the church, with three Benediction stops along the way. It’s okay if you do not start from the beginning with us–you’re welcome to join us anywhere along the route!
