Dear Friends,
Thank you for the past support you have given this blood drive in honor of our friend Peter Woods. Peter was a beloved member of the Hartsdale community. He died on January 9, 2021 from complications of 9/11-related Leukemia. Peter was a decorated NYPD Police Sergeant and Hartsdale Fire Commissioner. He was a long-time engaged parishioner at Sacred Heart Church, dedicated to the church and school community.
Through his 15 years of chronic illness, Peter used a lot of blood for his treatments. He spoke several times at New York Blood Center events to encourage people to donate to make sure blood would be there for others in need.
Please join us for the 4th Annual Blood Drive in his honor and donate blood on Sunday, February 25th. Due to the change in Mass Schedules and requests for earlier hours, the blood drive is now 8am – 2pm.
